Coach

Maria (Tote) Echeverry joined the Fountain City FC coaching staff in 2019.  Tote is originally from Bogota, Colombia and came to the United States to play soccer in 2015. Before joining Fountain City FC, she was previously a student coach assistant at Baker University. 

Growing up in Colombia, Tote played for IDR Futbol Club and Sports Legends, as well as the Colombian National Team Sub 17 in 2013. She played forward for IDR FC, earning League Top Goal Scorer and Player of the Year. She also earned Forward of the Year with Sports Legends in 2014. Tote attended college at Baker University where her team finished in the Final Four in Nationals. 

During the day, Coach Tote furthers her education at Johnson County Community College. She is proud to have started her youth coaching career as a girls coach with Fountain City FC!
