Director of Coaching

Michael Brown is the Director of Coaching for Fountain City FC.  

Coach Michael played at William Jewell College.  His accomplishments include: Four year letter winner, Deans list, HAAC Offensive Player of the Week, and All-Conference Team. 

In high school, he played at Lee's Summit High School, where he earned All-State, All-Conference Offensive Player of the Year, All-Metro, All-Area, and All-Region 2005 honors.

Michael has been coaching club soccer at the academy level and ECNL-RL for 14 years.  He currently holds a US Soccer B License with a United Soccer Coach's Advanced National Diploma and Goalkeeping Diploma.  In addition, Michael is currently a US Soccer Grassroots Instructor for the state of Kansas.  He has also been a Head Coach for Missouri and Kansas ODP teams since 2017.

Michael has coached at the high school level for 12 years.  He is currently the Assistant Varsity coach for the Boy's soccer program at Blue Springs South HS.  Before that, he was the Head Varsity coach spanning 19 seasons at Fort Osage HS and Oak Grove HS.  

During the day, Michael is a full-time Social Studies teacher at Blue Springs South HS.  He has an Education Specialist Degree in Secondary Education.
